Northern Lights

"The Northern Lights above the island always filled Ada and me with an overwhelming sense of nature's immeasurable grandeur. I could even see the expression in Ada's eyes change whenever she looked at the aurora. She used to say that its mystery and the depth of its endless space were both mesmerizing and irresistible.

On the reverse side of the sculpture are small figures of the island's inhabitants. They exist in an intimate bond with the island's natural world—they are a part of it."
